Even "that look "of a male colleague at a work place which makes a woman feel uncomfortable and is UNWELCOMED! by her is sexual harassment. We have the law for prevention , prohibition & redressal of sexual harassment of women at workplace but due to poor implementation and awareness on the PoSH Act-2013, women still experience sexual harassment which leaves them mentally harassed, disturbed and discouraged .
Sexual harassment is a punishable offence. Non Compliance by employees can lead to termination and other punishments as the case may be , whereas for the organizations- the employer can also lose its license to operate the business and attract heavy fines.
