Sexual harassment begins even with a look which makes a woman feel uncomfortable and is unwelcomed by her. We have the law to prevent sexual harassment of women at workplace but due to poor implementation and awareness on the PoSH Act, women at work place still experience sexual harassment which leaves them mentally harassed, disturbed and discouraged at work place.
Shockingly the numbers shot up in COVID, making it even more critical for organizations to achieve 100% compliance of PoSH Act with serious commitments towards women safety at workplace, even virtually! Sexual harassment of a women at workplace is a punishable offence, thus poor compliance of PoSH Act can lead to heavy penalties for employers and cancellation of organization's license to operate .
